Welcome to St. John Lutheran AcademyFor more than 25 years, St. John Lutheran Church has been investing in the children of the Hamilton community through Christ-centered education. What began as a small preschool has grown into St. John Lutheran Academy, serving children from age 2 through 4th grade, with plans to continue grow to 5th grade.
At SJLA, we believe childhood is a gift from God and that learning should be filled with joy, purpose, and wonder. Our classrooms feel a little different more like a warm, Christ-centered home than a traditional school. We aren't trying to recreate another educational model. Instead, we've intentionally created an environment that combines the individualized attention and nurturing relationships often found in homeschooling with the structure, community, and rich learning experiences of a vibrant classroom.
When you visit, you'll quickly notice that our teachers don't simply teach lessons—they truly know and love every child. We pursue academic excellence while nurturing character, confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. Most importantly, we point children to Jesus each day, helping them grow in faith while learning to serve and love others.
Community is at the heart of everything we do. We believe parents are our partners in education, and we work intentionally to build meaningful relationships with every family. From chapel and classroom celebrations to beloved school traditions and service opportunities, SJLA is a place where children and families feel known, valued, and connected.
As we continue to grow, we are also working toward National Accreditation of Private Christian Schools (NAPS). This accreditation process reflects our commitment to continuous improvement, educational excellence, and providing the highest quality Christ-centered education for every child. We are always looking for ways to strengthen our programs while remaining faithful to our mission of leading children to live, learn, and share His love.
