There are 24 chapters in the Gospel of Luke. If one chapter is read each day starting December 1st, one would read through the entire life of Jesus by Christmas.
As we begin our Advent season, I would like to encourage all of us to read through the Gospel of Luke together and reflect on the life of Jesus, the Son of God, who came in human flesh into our world to save us from our sin and to restore our broken relationship with God.
In conjunction with this reading of Luke, all of our Advent and Christmas services (Sundays and Wednesdays) will be centered around Luke’s account of Jesus’ birth as recorded in chapter two. May we be spiritually, physically and emotionally nurtured and overjoyed as we take this journey through the Gospel of Luke.
