Sunday School

Every   Sunday   morning   at   9:00   children   of   all   ages  (3 & up) are provided a chance to learn about Jesus, the Savior of the world, and make friends and have fun.  Breakfast is served in the gym and parents can attend an awesome bible study hosted by  pastor.   ​

Elementary Ministry

​​At St. John there are always fun things for young children to do to grow in faith, learn about service, and have tons of fun.  Most of our children's ministry is in the form of special events like VBS, Slime Fest, and sometimes just going to the creek and catching crawdads.  That's the fun of being a small-town church in a rural area! 

Confirmation

​In the Lutheran Church, Confirmation is a foundational experience in a young person's faith life.  It is a time to learn, in depth, the doctrine and faith of  the church and to grow in one's understanding of what it means to be a part of the church and her mission.  Here at St. John it's also a time to have fun with pastor and make friends.  Confirmation is twice a month on Sunday evenings from 5:00 to 7:30.  Pastor plays some fun games with the youth and then dinner is served along with a lesson.  The class covers the Ten Commandments, The Apostles' Creed, the Lord's Prayer, Confession & Absolution, Holy Baptism and Holy Communion.   students receive their first communion after confirmation.

Junior High Ministry

St. John has a very active Junior High group.  We do all kinds of fun retreats, dances, service projects and activities.  Contact the church office to get connected with the the group and on the "remind" app announcements.   The church is blessed with two boards of adult volunteers who bless the youth of our congregation will all kinds of  "real-world" christian experience and our pastor provides bible studies and devotions.  

Senior High Ministry

The Senior High meets every Wednesday night for dinner and bible study and on Sunday mornings during the Sunday School hour. They do regular service  projects to the community and they are all-around, a great bunch of leaders.  They also help with our worship audio and tech every Sunday and Livestreaming our worship on Facebook.  Along with regular outings and retreats, this is very active group at St. John. ​

St. John Junior High hayride through Hamilton. We stopped at people's houses and asked if we could help clean yards and haul away sticks. We filled two trailers and then it was back to the church for hotdogs and s'mores.
